Who we are:

We are a church that:

1. Tries to be the Family of God

2. Welcomes others into the Family of God.

One of the best ways to get to know us is to visit us on Sunday mornings. We gather to worship at 9:30am at 212 Lincoln St. in Chenoa, IL.

On Sunday mornings we worship God through singing Scripturally deep lyrics with contemporarily fresh music. We also try to imagine how to live our lives like God wants, by opening the Bible and listening to a sermon. On the 4th Sunday of the month we celebrate Communion.

Our Story

Christ Community Church of Chenoa

Christ Community Church of Chenoa is a non-denominational church that celebrated its first Sunday on September 10th, 2017. Christ Community Church of Gridley began praying about planting churches in other communities around 2013. After a long season of learning and praying CCC Gridley discerned that God was calling them to plant a church in Chenoa, IL.

In January of 2017, First Presbyterian Church of Chenoa called CCC Gridley to discuss the possibility of a merger between the two churches. After a 6 month relationship between the two churches, First Presbyterian Church graciously and generously sold their building to CCC. The two churches maintain a warm friendship.

Christ Community Church of Chenoa hopes to be a blessing to

the Prairie Central School District for Generations.

Our Core Values

5 Core Values

We believe there are 5 main rhythms that a Christian and a church should participate in.

We call those rhythms our "Core Values."

OPEN BIBLES

2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105, Joshua 1:8

We believe the Bible is the Word of God that teaches all people what is true about God and His created world. We believe the Bible is the source of truth and the ultimate authority that teaches us how we should live.

We want to be a church that opens the Bible often, whether in public or private, to know the truth of God’s Holy Word and to allow it to change our lives.

ONE ANOTHER

Romans 12:3-13, John 13:34-35, Ephesians 4:2-6

Over fifty times in the New Testament, believers are called to seek unity in the Church by tangibly loving one another. Because God first loved us and gave His Son for us, we want to follow that example in sacrificial love toward one another.

We want to be a church that serves, prays for, encourages, forgives, and loves one another in word and action.

BEAUTIFUL FEET

Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 20:24, Psalm 67

In Romans 10:15 Paul writes, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news,” and we believe that we are commissioned to go into the whole world with the good news of salvation and hope in Jesus Christ.

We want to be a church that shares this good news with our neighbors, in our community, and around the entire world.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Colossians 1:9-11, 28-29, Ephesians 4:11-16, 1 Peter 2:1-3

The Apostle Peter charged the Church with the call to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18), making it clear that God’s will is for believers to mature in faith by intentionally following Christ and by seeking to become like Him.

We want to be a church that helps every person move toward Christ and become more like Him

AUTHENTIC WORSHIP

Psalm 96, John 4:23-24, Romans 12:1-2

We believe that all humans are made to worship and that God is the only One worthy of worship. Though corporate singing is one mode of worship, authentic worship is more than that; worship is expressed through an obedient lifestyle that is surrendered to the will of God (Romans 12:1-2).

We want to be a church that exalts God on Sundays as we gather to worship and every day of our lives by living for him.
